Product Development Manager & Special Seating Engineer

Joy is a Rehabilitation Engineer, clinically trained in the UK. He has specialized in posture & mobility since 2007 with a focus on 24 hour postural management, custom wheelchair seating and controls working in both UK’s public health service as well as a private custom seating manufacturer. At Glide, Joy leads our research and development and provides special seating clinical services.

Joy has a BEng in Biomedical Engineering, a GradDip in Rehabilitation Engineering, an MSc in Clinical Engineering and an MBA all from the UK. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.

Special Seating Engineer and Product Specialist

Kevin has an engineering background working in the disability industry since 2012 in Ireland. Initially, he specialized in powered wheelchairs, specialty controls, paediatrics, and customizations. In 2018, Kevin discovered a passion for seating and transitioned to a company specializing in custom-moulded seating. There, he focused on moulded seating, drawing on his expertise in head arrays and adaptive control systems.

Kevin as a BEng in Mechanical , Electrical; and Manufacturing engineering, and a PGCert in Seating and Postural Management all from Ireland.

Product & Seating Specialist

For over 15 years, Eddie has been a trusted advisor at Glide. His passion for mobility shines through his extensive knowledge of wheelchairs and seating. Eddie assesses individual needs to script customized solutions that optimize posture and mobility .

Eddie understands the biomechanics of seating and translates that knowledge into practical solutions for improved daily living. Whether navigating everyday challenges or achieving specific goals, Eddie works alongside clients and therapists to ensure their perfect fit for a life filled with independence and possibility.

Eddie has a BSc in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from UWA.
