New names. Same Reliability.

Glide_Cover_Photo.jpg

Glide has re-named each wheelchair in the range.

For over 40 years, Glide has forged a reputation for designing and manufacturing high quality manual and powered wheelchairs right here in Australia. While we’ve been excellent at building chairs tailored to our clients’ needs, we’ve been slightly disorganised with little structure in the way we named our products!

Names like ‘Series 7’ and ‘G3’ have been workable, but not very descriptive!

As Glide moves into a new era, we have reviewed the way we name our models to make it easier for occupational therapists, distributors and ‘end user’ customers to identify and select the right wheelchairs for specific needs.

We have also taken the decision to proudly include the name ‘Glide’ with each wheelchair model.

This has come about because we believe that we’ve been a little too humble in the past. We’ve tended to be a quiet achiever, toiling away in our Western Australian workshop and getting on with a great job. Our purpose has always been to make the best possible wheelchairs for our customers, and offer almost limitless customisation as we build each chair to order. But now, we feel that we should step out of the shadows be proud of the fact that we are an Australian manufacturer creating quality products that are regarded as being superior to those of our overseas competitors, and more cost-effective.

So, without further ado, here are the new names for the Glide product range!
